Join us on May 18th, 2024, at the SC State Fairgrounds from 10 am to 5 pm for the Columbia Black Expo.
Experience a day filled with enriching talks, cultural exhibitions, and a showcase of Black business excellence.
The mission of the Black Expo is to promote economic development through increased exposure for minority-owned businesses. African-American owned businesses have the opportunity to showcase their products and services to the public and procurement officers from major corporations and government entities. It is also an opportunity for major corporations and government entities to develop viable working relationships with minority-owned businesses while marketing their products and services to a growing consumer market.
The Expo is also a forum to educate, enlighten and inspire the entire community and the African-American community in particular. Aside from economic development, exposure to cultural resources is a part of the focus for this event.

Rare Disease Symposium
Rare Disease Symposium where you can attend in-person or virtually to learn about innovative and impactful research going on across the state, hear personal stories from those affected by rare disease and discover some of the important advocacy work that’s grown out of both necessity and hope. We are excited to invite you to our 17th Annual Sickle Cell Walk, dedicated to raising awareness and support for individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease. The James R. Clark Sickle Cell Walk is a community-driven event that brings together people from all walks of life to make a positive impact.
The walk aims to:
Raise Awareness: By participating in this event, you'll help spread awareness about sickle cell disease and its impact on individuals and families. Together, we can educate our community and dispel misconceptions about this genetic blood disorder.
Support Patients: Proceeds from the event will go towards supporting patients living with sickle cell disease. Your contributions will provide much-needed resources, including medical care, education, and advocacy.
